Amazing does not even begin to describe Joe O'Meara. My husband and I first starting working with Joe when he helped us buy our condo in 2010. We were first time buyers and he held our hand every step of the way. He always gets back to you in a timely manner, and if he doesn't know the answer to a question, he will find out and get back to you ASAP.

Joe makes you feel like you are his only client and we have always felt like he had our best interest at heart. He even found us other Realtors to work with when we were looking into buying land and homes out of the area. Joe is incredible at his job; we would recommend him to anyone in need of a Realtor who goes above and beyond.

Additionally, I have recommended that close friends of mine use him.  They did. They bought. They love their house!  And, afterwards they posted on FB that they have the best realtor if anyone needs one.  I'd say that they'd use him again too.

That was the hook, because he is great and here is the meat of the story:
My boyfriend and I, at the time, first time home buyers, closed on a short sale with the help of Joe.  The house we ended up closing on wasn't the first house that we were about to close on.  We were very far in the sales process when we decided that something didn't feel right about the purchase and retracted our offer.  Joe listened, informed us with facts and encouraged us do what we thought was right, even if that prolonged him gaining the business.  Best decision I ever made, since, at the time we were so unsure because house hunting for a first and primary home can be so emotional.  

Nonethless, he stuck with us.  Long story short, we find a short sale that we would have had no idea how to deal with if it wasn't for Joe.  The process was as smooth as one could hope for, hurry up and wait!- hurry up and wait!, but all in all at least we had good representation.  Joe, who kept us informed the whole way, was available via phone and email whenever I had a question or needed clarification over and over ;) or needed explanation of documents and procedures.

So...He is informed.  He is patient, which is very important because I'm sure dealing with many homebuyer personalities can really be tasking at times lol.  He is customer oriented.  He is not afraid to push the sellers and dig for more info from the banks.

Joe was our realtor when we recently both purchased a new home and sold our current one.

The purchase started smoothly, and beyond the inevitable one week delay of escrow, went smoothly. Until after escrow closed. Until the sellers decided that they weren't quite ready to leave and would be staying an extra week. Lesser agents might have walked away  - it was after escrow, after all, but Joe didn't.

Joe put in a TON of extra hours (even talking me down from a freakout on a Saturday night) to work with the seller's agent (who was nearly impossible) to get the situation taken care of and ensure that we were duly compensated for the delay in being able to take possession of our new home. I can't say or thank Joe enough for the unbelievable effort he put in to that transaction.

On the sale of our home, Joe got us an unbelievable offer, well above asking and well above our expectations.

We are repeat customers of Joe, and will use him again should we ever decide to move again, and have happily recommended him to friends, family, and coworkers.

Joe O'Meara was our realtor when my husband and I purchased our home 2 years ago. We have since referred him to many of our family and friends who he has successfully helped as well. 

We cannot say enough good things about Joe! Not only was he patient and very thorough in his research for us, but he also lent his expert advise on each property we visited. Joe is a fantastic realtor! My wife, Melissa, and I just bought our first house in Mira Mesa. Despite being first time home buyers and not having that much money in the bank, Joe somehow made us appear attractive to a seller that had 31 offers on the house. 

Melissa and I were ready to give up, despite only looking for 2 months, and thought we would never find a house in this market, but Joe convinced us to keep up the effort. He was right! We bought our dream house, and we got $5,000 back from the seller toward our closing costs.
